Gave my MIJ *Pentax *ist a whirl. Pics appear to be exposed well, but I'll find a different lab next time. No more minilab machines for me. The negatives came back heavily scratched.

I got a new scanner to play with, a Canon CanoScan 4400F. It scans the usual stuff, but this sub $100 model can do hi-res 35mm film scans. Cool. It's not in the league of those $1000+ Nikon scanners, but for the $, it does the job well.
